A Tactile Creative Writing Workshop
April 30 @ 18:30 – 20:30
Join writer and facilitator Karen Tobias-Green for a fun, informal but meaningful dip into the tactile, sensory world of creative writing.
Explore poetry and prose and discover the pleasure of spontaneous creative writing from text and visual prompts in a supportive, friendly space. Experiment with colour, sound, objects and play. Perfect for current writers looking for inspiration, beginners wanting a way in to writing and those interested in using language to boost their creative practice.

This workshop explores the tactile and aesthetic qualities of writing; making connections between sensory experiences and word play and between visual and textual language. It’s fun, practical, hands on and responsive, and aims to use all of your five senses.
Materials may include bric-a-brac and haberdashery, plastic toys, pom-poms , string, foam squares, labels, ribbon, wood, denim, felt patches, leather, paper, sweet wrappers, photos, postcards, event tickets, extracts of poems, pencils… the list goes on…
