Welcome to Truman Books!

I’m Amanda. I opened Truman Books, in Farsley, West Leeds, in Spring 2021. After 20 years working in the travel industry, 2020 came along with other plans for me. Opening an indie bookshop has been a long-held dream, and with travelling off the agenda it felt like a now or never opportunity to follow a dream.

The shop is filled to bursting with books we love – for adults and children, exciting new releases, and old favourites. If there is anything you can’t find we can order it for you, normally with next day delivery.

You will also find a great selection of gifts, cards and wrapping paper.
