A Magical Storytime with Becky Cameron

Join us in the bookshop for a magical storytime with author-illustrator Becky Cameron as she shares her new picture book, The Angel and the Mermaid.
This touching story is a beautiful celebration of the unbreakable bond between siblings and the importance of always coming together, no matter the distance.
About the Book
Avery and Mira are as different as the sky and the sea. Avery is gentle like the whispering breeze and Mira is wild like a crashing wave. Despite their differences, they spend every day together on the beach, their home. When a treasure hunt leads to an argument, the siblings separate, only to realise how much they need each other. Will Mira’s bravery and Avery’s courage bring them back together?
Becky Cameron is the illustrator of much-loved classics such as Enid Blyton and Paddington. When she’s not bringing new books to life, Becky also teaches illustration at Sheffield Hallam University.
The book is perfect for our under 5 storytime audience, with gorgeous illustrations and a heartwarming story that will appeal to the whole family.
